Action in the park

The Friends of Alexandra Park meet on the morning of the first Saturday of the month to pick up litter, tidy the wild flower beds and generally keep the park looking good. Why not come and join us? Meet near the toilet block at 9.30am to collect equipment. If you have them, do bring gardening gloves and hand-sanitiser.

We usually serve refreshments and have a chat after the session.

On April 1st, in addition to our usual litter-pick, we’ll be inviting children and their families to help us spread poppy seeds on the bed near the lower viewpoint. There will also be craft activities and a nature trail for the participants, as well as drinks and cake!

Future dates for park tidy-ups: May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st.
