Once again, the Friends of Alexandra Park are inviting you to enjoy a picnic in our lovely park, on Sunday 7th July from 12-6pm. With live music from four bands on stage, dance and fitness demonstrations, a novelty dog show, a tug of war and a parade to see who is wearing the silliest hat, there is guaranteed to be something to entertain you. For children, we’ll have a climbing wall (weather permitting), face painting and games such as hoopla and splat the rat. We also have 20 fabulous raffle prizes to be won.
There’ll be a bar, burgers, pizza and ice-creams on sale and the Bowls Club will be offering a chance to try your hand at bowls and enjoy refreshments on their terrace. You are welcome to bring your own picnic but please no barbecues.
