All our events are open to everyone. There is no membership or subscription
June 21st Picnic in the Park. Our annual fun day is back! Live bands, children’s fancy dress, tree-climbing, dog show, tug-of war, Zumba demonstration, try your hand at Boules and Bowls, plus food and drink and – we hope – good weather! From midday. (No parking in the park).
Details of all the events are in the programme, which will be sold on the gate and in Bear Flat on Saturdays June 13th and 20th. The theme of the children’s fancy dress is ‘Nations of the World’. As it’s Father’s Day, we are also inviting children to bring along their poems and drawings celebrating their Dads! See you there!
June 25th Annual Public Meeting. 7pm Come and enjoy a drink in the Bowls Club and hear more about what’s been happening in your local park. Everyone is welcome.
Help us plan for the future! Our current Chair, Treasurer and Secretary are retiring this year, so we are looking for new people to take on these roles.
Other Events in the Park
Volunteer Action Days (usually the first Saturday of the month)
Meet at 9.30 am by the main entrance for litter picking and improvement projects. Come suitably dressed with gardening gloves.
We are normally there for 2 hours but if you cannot stay that long, come for as much time as you can.
Free tea, coffee or hot chocolate at 11 am.
Please do join us! The more people who come, the more we can do and the better the Park will look.
